Skirt

A new skirt, easy and quick. A bit of IKEA fabric, a few seams, back zip, some binding and a hem. Finished.

I have been using the scraps from my giraffes for elephants. I do love all of Kaffe Fassetts spotty dotty fabric.

You've put me to shame. I've had some Ikea fabric earmarked with "skirt" put aside for months! Of course everyone else comes first (cue the violins).

This is super. I love the binding especially ;)

That skirt would look great with your new boots! The elephants look so happy with their trunks to tails!

Those elephants are so gorgeous, they really made me smile!
Love the skirt, I know you say it's easy, but I'm not sure it would look as good as that if I tried my hand at it!

Thanks for posting!

hi kate...love your skirt...please let me know how you feel when you wear it. I have also made a skirt out of this ikea fabric, and every time i wear it i feel really self conscious ...i cant work out whether its the bold print, the thickness of the fabric..or people are comparing me with their curtains....i can hear your saying, get over it...but i will be interested just the same...such great fabric!!

The skirt is fantastic! My Ikea fabric was supposed to be turned into bags but it hasn't happened yet!

Oh I love the skirt. Have been looking for a basic pattern to make something for myself for AGES (I even have the fabric - of course).
But I'm after a simple pattern... did you make this up yourself, or are you using a pattern you bought?
Cheers, Jacinta
